Synopsis
If at any point you've stepped foot inside a hot topic for an extended period of time, you've probably heard of invader zim, an edgy cartoon geared towards older kids and teens that first aired on nickelodeon in 2001. Created by Jhonen Vasques as his first and last animated series, Invader Zim revolves around two characters. Zim, an insane and incompetent alien invader, and Dib, the wannabe paranormal investigator dedicated to stopping him (he's also insane he's just not as stupid). Zim's mission as an alien invader is to conquer earth and enslave the human race. Little does zim know, his "mission" was actually just an excuse to get rid of him. Dib's goal as an conspiracy obsessed FREAK with NO FRIENDS is to expose Zim for the irken he is. Unfortunately for Dib, Zim may be dumb but the human race is much, much, dumber.

Personality
Dib membrane is a mentally disturbed little freak who spends his free time lurking on forums related to the paranormal and primarily, hunting down Zim. Since the majority of humanity in Invader Zim is dumber than a bag of rocks, no one believes him (except Gaz who dgaf) that Zim is an alien despite his strange behavior, green skin, and his notable lack of ears. Even though he isn't crazy in the way views him as, he definitely isn't entirely sane either. In Enter The Florpus, he spends "like, a million years" refusing to leave his room, slowly getting more and more disgusting to the point that his sister has to wear a hazmat suit, all because Zim had mysteriously disappeared. If that isn't some kind of crazy then idk what is. He is also a lot more intelligent than the average human. Other than being able to see through Zim's so-called "disguise", he is also shown to be able to effectively interface with irken tech. He's also buil his own inventions, such as his dodge ball launcher, and the food throwing apparatus shown in the show's pilot.

Personality
Gaz(lene) membrane is probably the most mentally sane character in the entire franchise. All she wants to do is play video games and eat her junk food unbothered. However, when anyone gets in the way of this goal, the results are catastrophic. This is notably show in Game Slave 2, where she stalks a pretentious gamer boy back to his house and scares the living shit out of him just so she can get the new Game Slave. This also extends to her own family, like in Battle Dib, where she jeopardizes Dib's presentation because he stole her pizza. Gaz is actually the only human character (other than Dib) who immediately recognizes zim as an alien. Unfortunately for Dib, she dgaf because she doesn't see Zim as a genuine threat. She's also been shown to be highly inteligent like when in The worst X-mas ever, where she fixes Tak's ship in seconds in order to kick Dib's ass. In the original invader Zim television series Gaz was shown to be pretty apathetic, not really caring about her brother's well being unless it affects her. However, in enter the florpus, the writers develop her character significantly, showing that while she is terrifying, she can also be kind.
